Surf's Up
Learn to ride the waves with Saltburn Surf School where you can hire wetsuits, surfboards and book a lesson with a professional surfing instructor. You will learn the physical elements of the sport and the knowledge of how and why waves occur and will have some understanding of the natural processes of weather and sea.
A day at the seaside isn’t complete without indulging in some fish and chips and why not enjoy them on Saltburn Pier, an impressive Victorian iron structure that extends out into the North Sea for 200 metres.
Saltburn Cliff lift is also worth a visit. Opened in 1884, this is the oldest remaining waterbalance cliff lift in Britain and links the pier with the town.
