Park Life

For a leisurely day out head to Preston Hall Museum at Preston Park where you can explore domestic life of the past with the many recreated period rooms. There is also a recreation of a typical Victorian street where demonstrations of traditional crafts can be seen. In addition to these year round displays, the museum offers a varied programme of changing exhibitions and special events.

Butterfly World is only a minute’s walk away and here you can enjoy the magical world of a Tropical Rain Forest and enjoy watching the vibrant wing beats of hundreds of the worlds most exotic and beautiful butterflies fill the air.

From the park hop on the Teesside Princess for scenic views along the River Tees.  Stop off at nearby Yarm or enjoy the full circular route back.  

Enjoy lunch at J’s@636 situated in the Parkmore Hotel a short walk from the park which offers a varied range of freshly prepared dishes using the best local produce.
