Hillcarter Hotel

The Hillcarter Hotel was originally built in 1897 as the department store 'Hill and Carter', and it continued in retail use for the next hundred years.
The building was renovated in 1997; neighbouring buildings were incorporated to restore the exterior of the building to its original grandeur. It was completely transformed internally to provide a luxury twenty-bedroom hotel with stunning views of Hartlepool and the fabulous new marina development. The hotel has recently undergone further refurbishment and now provides and extra 4 double interconnecting rooms which are ideal for stag/hen parties and families. One Executive suite has also been added which provides a private lounge area. All rooms are modern in design and many have flat screen TVs.

Integral to the hotel are two public bars and a function/conference room seating 150 people. The hotel offers superb accommodation accompanied by a warm friendly welcome in the area. The Hillcarter now also offers a specially adapted disabled room with flat level shower which is modern and relaxing.

The rooftop restaurant is fantastic with a excellent menu to suit all tastes. The Chef preparing and cooking the meals has worked in many superb restaurants across the town and has brought his experiences of each one together to run his own. The restaurant provides magnificent views across the bay and of the Marina area with an open outlook to 3 sides.

The wine list offers a range of wines from traditional and new-world sources. A wide variety of drinks and liqueurs are also available from Junctions Bar.

Situated in the centre of Hartlepool, close by the marina ideally placed for both business people with the need to be in the town centre and visitors due to our close proximity to the marina, Hartlepool Historic Quay, Museum of Hartlepool and the HMS Trincomalee.

Please note the Hillcarter Hotel may be noisy on weekends due to nightlife in and around the Hotel.

Hartlepool itself is very conveniently situated for Captain Cook Country, the North Yorkshire Moors, Metro Centre and the historic city of Durham.
