The Official Visitor Information Website for Tees Valley
If you like nothing more than sitting back and watching others do the hard work to keep you amused, make a beeline for the Tees Valley in the coming months. With a host of events to suit every kind of taste, we're doing as much as we can to give as many people as we can a thoroughly good time.
If live music is your thing, we'll bring you everything from a brass band to a rock band, from a man with a penny whistle to a full symphony orchestra. There are numerous performances all over the Tees Valley - many of them absolutely free.
Music and drama often go together, and we have a special festival to celebrate the fact. Street theatre gets its own event, away from the formality of traditional theatre space, and there's a further five day extravaganza of street performances of all kinds, featuring everything from circus skills to comedy and dance.
If you like a show of a different sort, we can promise you beautiful motorbikes, classic and American cars, an abundance of horticultural and agricultural delights and that very English event: the sheepdog trials.
Throw in a film festival, a beer festival, a model railway weekend, a fire engine rally, a stables open day a carnival and a moonlit regatta and you'll find half a dozen reasons to pay the Tees Valley a visit soon.
