There's a wealth of activities and places to explore in Tees Valley. The scenery is stunning so you might as well be outside enjoying it; enjoying nature reserves, fishing villages and cliffs that soar up over 700ft.

A walkers' paradise...if you're a serious walker, you have to try the Lyke Wake walk, the Cleveland Way or the Teesdale Way - all with breathtaking scenery that is truly exhilarating. There is also the Darlington Way, with over 15 local walks to enjoy.

Beauty by the sea...with its magnificent coastline, surfers flock from all over the country to sample the waves at Saltburn. Fishing is also plentiful with sea fishing trips from Hartlepool Marina and Redcar Seafront along the miles of Heritage coastline.

Top class sport...Whether you want to spectate or participate, Tees Valley has it all. Boro fans can catch a game of football at the Riverside Stadium, home to Premiership team Middlesbrough. Skateboarders, BMX Bikers and Inline Skaters can also find their mecca in Middlesbrough at Prissick Plaza, the first of its kind in North East England, and only one of only two in the UK. Top class motorsport can be found at Croft Circuit in Darlington, even when there aren't any fixtures or rallies, visitors can still enjoy driving experiences such as the Mini Cooper S or the Ferrari Experience. Set in rolling parkland and mature woodland, the Wynard Golf Club in Billingham represents the ultimate challenge and excitement for both the novice and the highly experienced player alike, and was home to the 2005 Seve Trophy.
