Road Directions

Follow the A19 until you reach the A174 jct, follow this towards Redcar where signs for the racecourse become visible.

Public Transport Directions

The railway station is just a few minutes walk to the racecourse.

  • In town/city centre - Redcar Racecourse is located in the heart of Redcar town. On approaching the town by road please follow the signs to the Racecourse.
  • Outdoor Attraction - The horse racing takes part outside on the track however there are a number of inside facilities, such as bars and restaurants.

Accessibility

  • Parking Areas for Disabled Visitors - There are designated parking areas for disabled visitors in both the Grandstand and Course Enclosures' car parks.
  • Ramp / Level Access - The disabled viewing ramp, offering a superb view down the course is located alongside the track in the Grandstand Enclosure.
  • Toilets for Disabled Visitors - There are toilets for disabled visitors in both the Grandstand and Course Enclosures.

  • Picnic Site - The Picnic Site is located in the Centre of the Course Enclosure where racegoers are able to bring in their own picnics.

Payment Methods

  • Approx length of visit - 4 hours. The entrance gates always open 2 hours before the 1st race. For day time meetings the first race tends to go off at 2pm and on evening meetings the first race tends to go off at 6pm. Please check with the Racecourse Office closer to the event.
