UK Steel Enterprise is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Corus Group plc whose aim is to help improve the economies of those areas of the United Kingdom affected by changes in the steel industry.

Since our establishment almost 30 years ago, our strategy has remained straightforward and consistent: to create a supportive environment for the great entrepreneurial spirit that exists in our small business communities, and in doing so, to encourage job and wealth creation in our steel areas.

During this time, we've provided finance and premises, together with help and advice, to more than 4,200 growth businesses. Our total financial support is over £60million with over £50m in direct investment which has enabled these businesses to create over 66,000 new jobs in our steel areas. In addition, we have been able to contribute both in kind and financially to numerous worthwhile community support initiatives.

And though each company and every project has been different, they all share the same common goal - success. UK Steel Enterprise aims to continue fostering such success as the most productive and pragmatic method of helping our communities to thrive and generate the most exciting and best possible prospects for the future.
