Type: Concert

In recent years the Czech National Symphony Orchestra has emerged as one of the most
brilliant of the Czech Republic’s orchestras. Under the leading Czech conductor Petr Altrichter,
they return to Middlesbrough with a programme of three masterpieces. In the haunting
opening bars of Schubert’s Unfinished Symphony we know we are in the musical presence
of a great genius which is why this particular work has become so popular with audiences the
world over.
